COMIC REVIEW: KAMEN RIDER SPIRITS

The first comic feature in this blog: Kamen Rider Spirits! Written by Kenichi Muraeda, based on Shotaro Ishinomori's original story, Kamen Rider Spirits is a manga (Japanese comics) series about Kamen Riders (known outside Japan as Masked Riders) rendered in a much darker and more adult tone.

Kamen Rider Spirits manga presented some untold tales of the Riders in Showa Era and answered some questions left open in the TV series, like how Riderman survived his last mission and more. In this storyline, the Riders were no longer a team and took different paths. After some individual battles fought, each one realized a new evil group on the rise, thus a new call to reunite and fight for the world. Also, in this manga, a new story of Kamen Rider ZX's origin was told, ignoring the TV special Birth of the 10th! Kamen Riders All Together!!

The art is really fantastic and the story, really dramatic! Kamen Rider Spirits manga is recommended to old time fans and new ones alike. You may buy the manga or read it online in http://www.mangafox.com/manga/kamen_rider_spirits/
